Ha, actually, there WAS no storm this year- in fact in our 25th anniversary year we saw the absolute best weather anyone could remember! And with gas prices as they are in the U.S., we of course had concern about attendance in terms of what sort of financial hit we might have had. The numbers of people were only slightly down and between that and careful planning and budgeting it looks like we're going to be good- Praise God :)
Still, please send up a prayer for John and staff as the festival is a year-round enterprise with a great deal of work, bills to pay, post-fest discussion on how to do X, Y and Z better and so forth.
The REZ set, GKB set and myself and friends short worship set at mainstage on the Fest birthday celebration all seemed to go well, not without the usual glitches but rather smooth all things considered. The response was incredibly positive from all who spoke with us afterwards.
The REZ boxed set and new GKB cd Octane was very well received, again, we all heard encouraging comments on both.
It seems the webteam at Cstone did another sterling job- please go to cornerstonefestival.com and have a look at a zillion photos, REZ set video and a great deal more. I hear You Tube has some footage up as well.
I
had a bit of the normal interaction with several seminar leaders and in terms of our music seminars, Wendi's relationships/sexuality seminars and those of the many other seminar leaders, all gave great reports of attendance and deep discussion with attendees, so on all levels it seems God indeed showed up!
I heard of an excited J.R. McClellan Guitar (fest raffle) winner so it'll be very cool to see the winner's face when their wonderful personalized acoustic instrument is delivered in the near future. Super thanks to Rod and of course all who had a go at winning this raffle.
In very short, God TRULY BLESSED and we're very thankful for the prayers, attendance, and spiritual responses we've been hearing from various fest-goers.
GKB is touring here and there all summer and we hope to see you at a show. Thanks for stopping by!
