Home From Europe, on to CORNERSTONE- Project 12 Tent Rocks!
Wendi and I, as reported, had a blast in Portugal, just GREAT people, shows and etc..
We flew on to Zurich and met with Roy and Ed to do a GKB set at Big Boss Festival, do a seminar and so on, in the French part near Tavennes. Rescate, Sonic Flood and Superhero were all there doing great shows. Nice folks in these bands, and great to hang with for a bit. The set went amazing, a couple encores later I began to think they liked us :) :)
Had a lot of good chats, met old and I think made some new friends. On from there to an artist's gig in a huge historic cathedral in Basel, again, great response as we played, Wendi shared and interaction afterwards was excellent.
I have a comment re. the U.S.A.'s poor showing at the World Cup but I'll post that sometime next week.
So we enjoyed good safe British Air flights, now onto Cornerstone Festival where I'll be hanging out with Wendi and all at the Project 12 Tent each day, doing seminars and just available to chat so stop by if you're coming to Cstone!!
I plan to do something new this year and in another couple days will post my entire Cstone Fest schedule here for those who care. Every year a few folks say they didn't get to see me and wondered where I was... and I ask 'em if they looked online at cornerstonefestival.com or in the brochure everyone gets at the gate... but still some folks don't seem to find me, so it's time to go mucho public, ha!
Doing the Pekin, IL acoustic show this Saturday as well, and then it's Fest time!!
People seem to really dig Bound For Glory, thanks for all the kind emails and comments at live shows on the songs and video.
I have a load of pics from Portugal and Switzerland, some of which I'll post in various places, here or in myspace pages. I also have several new podcasts about to be posted, probably not until after the Fest all the staff are super busy with that.
Lastly, the project12.us site is about to get a load of brief input from me, comments on various issues that may be of interest, so you can log on there as you wish and you'll be able to get a bit deeper into my mind, concerns, yes even gripes about evangelical Christianity as it now widely seems to carry on, about a number of issues re. creativity and possibilities, etc.. You can further join in a conversation there if you are inclined as we post more issues. Again, I'll post three or four myself in about a week or so. Podcasts will most likely be added there soon as well.
Love and Hugs to all, thanks for stopping by.

GREETINGS FROM PORTUGAL- June 21, ´06
Well, the people have treated Wendi and I like queen and king, the shows were well-attended, great service and seminar as well, near Lisbon, and really it has just been a blast... great working with Deso Blues Gang and friends, and now a few moments to say Thank You for prayers!
Tomorrow we fly to Switzerland and meet up with Roy and Ed to do a GKB show and seminar at Big Boss Festival near Bien.
The weather has been wonderful and I´ve even seen a few great World Cup matches... usually no time to rest but this has been good as my cold is almost gone and Wendi´s getting better... whew!
So GO U.S.A.!!
More from or right after Switzerland...

JUNE 11 UPDATE
So- GO USA in the World Cup!!
Wendi and I fly to Portugal for shows and seminar in Lisbon area, going over on Wednesday. The next week we fly to Zurich and drive or train up to Big Boss Festival in the French part of that beautiful country for show and seminar. We meet with friends and share a bit in Bienne. Then we fly home to Chicago and make our way out to Cornerstone Festival near Bushnell, IL. It's the start of another busy summer!
Thanks for all the kind emails and prayers, you don't know how much they all mean to us!!
I'll post a bit on some newly released Linux distros I've been playing with when I've time. Meanwhile, have a look at Frozentech online. Really good stuff. See their Live CD List for some cool distros. I ordered 5 from 'em recently, rather than downloading 'em, and for under five-and-a-half bucks I got some GREAT stuff, promptly sent. As I say, more on those later.
Hope you've found the latest podcasts to be of interest. More coming as we're able to get them done and posted.
Love and Hugs,
-Glenn
Glenn & Wendi Touring Update- June 5, '06
This past weekend The Jesus House in Bloomington, IL took us in to do a benefit for Project 12. Tom and Bonnie and staff are seriously sweet people who love the Lord and care deeply for the homeless and other forgotten folks in inner-city B-ton. They began this outreach in their own home years ago, have been longtime friends attending Cstone Festival and are just great folks. The house was packed, we were more than encouraged by the response, chats and offering which will help us cover costs for the Project 12 Tent at Cornerstone Festival.
The evening began with a poor soul having a diabetic issue, the good fire dept. team attended and met the need, and the show went on with an acoustic blues set, Wendi's sharing about the Project 12 vision, a break and another set of worship with a bit of chat here and there in both sets. It seems much of the evening was recorded so I may post Mp3s in the podcast area if they become available, thanks to the kind folks at Jesus House!
We can't thank Bonnie and Tom enough, they are gems and it was a blast getting to know 'em.
Next morning we buzzed up to Wheaton, IL for the Karitos arts/worship event. They'd asked for a brief showcase so I did bits of 4 tunes with harp, dobro and acoustic guitar, encouraged the attendees to get serious about loving God and others and then went on to share two seminars- on songwriting and on artistic vision. The q. and a. time was especially fun. Great people and great interaction. Bob Hay and staff did another fine job!
From there Wendi and I headed to Sauk City, WI for River Hills Church where I was invited to lead worship, interact a bit after the sermon regarding relationships, and then share lunch and chat with the pastor, leadership and worship team folks. Again, just great people who have real heart for pre-believers and I must say again, the reception and kindness of those there was just amazing!
We've been traveling for a long time, but it never ceases to amaze me how many friends we have in this wide world... and people who really share heart for God as well as their neighbors, wanting to do more than live for themselves and who somehow relate to what we do in music, in speaking and in community life here at JPUSA in Chicago. It's just such a blast to see God's hand and hear the kind comments that come from people who've been touched by Him in some way via us. A humbling, but DEEPLY blessed thing. I'm SO glad for His calling and just blown away by the kind and genuine response of so many people.
Thanks for all the prayers and kindness to us- and more, for your growing desire to love, please and serve Jesus.
Love,
-Glenn
